Cabling Support Manager, TS/SCI with a Full Scope Polygraph Security Clearance Required, Onsite in Annapolis Junction, MD

We are currently looking for a Cabling Support Manager in Annapolis Junction, MD. You will perform the physical inventory of technology assets in the offices and data centers. The inventory verifies the asset data accuracy and billing information. From the main office download existing inventory data on handheld scanners. Take scanners to a local offsite location to conduct the inventory as a team. Return to main office to upload captured inventory data. Ensure compliance with established internal control procedures by examining records, reports, operating practices, and documentation. Typical workdays are 6:00am to 2:00pm. Candidates must have an active TS/SCI with a Full Scope Polygraph security clearance. This is a 100% Onsite position and not open for Hybrid and/or Remote.

Cabling Support Manager Responsibilities:

– Conduct Physical Inventory of technology devices located across multiple local buildings and Campuses, ensuring 100% visibility of equipment across the enterprise.
– Walk through office floors and data centers with handheld scanners to collect and update asset data.
– Return to the main office to synchronize captured asset data for reconciliation.
– Manage the logistics of site entry by proactively submitting access requests and obtaining necessary clearances for restricted office and data center environments.
– Utilizing online tools to research site specific maps as well as points of contact.
– Prepare periodic and special purpose reports as required.
– Assist in the Management of projects of varying sizes. Typically reports to a Cabling Group Manager.
– Meet project completion schedules, labor, and material cost budgets.
– Be responsible for managing multiple Cabling Managers on different projects and/or one large program.
– Insure the quality of workmanship, safety and documentation per project. Performs at least one quality and Safety Coaching Observation on each project bi-weekly.
– Initiate disciplinary actions for those employees working directly under the Cabling Manager.
– Be responsible for identifying and initiating work-around procedures and working with Cabling Manager and Cabling Supervisors to assist in maintaining crew productivity during delays caused by other trades, customer, material delays, absenteeism, etc. in conjunction with the project schedule.
– Be responsible for effectively managing a project of approximately 30-70 hourly and management personnel with little or no direction from the Cabling Supervisor.
– Able to interface regularly with the Client, Architect, Cabling Engineer, or Cabling Draftsman on contractual, financial, cost, scheduling, technical or any other area related to the project(s) under the Cabling Manager’s supervision.
– Be responsible for the development of detailed status reports containing financial results, physical progress, productivity, change in scope and other issues as it pertains to the project(s) under the Cabling Supervisor’s direction.
– Be responsible for contract agreements and negotiations with potential subcontractors or minority vendors.
Constantly monitors projects for Profit & Loss (P&L) margins to meet or exceed estimates.
– Direct multiple Cabling Managers in realizing changes to the scope of work, and the documentation and approval of change orders. Reports, coordinates and supervises all aspects of a project.
– Exhibit a superior ability to work independently, performing site surveys for estimates, proposal preparation, or quality assurance. Provide documentation, reports, and information to Cabling Supervisor as requested.
– Initiate and monitor installation standards, as well as technical and supervisory training sessions (on the job training) for other Technicians and junior crew members.
– Assure and enforce a comprehensive safety program in accordance with the company’s commitment to provide each employee with a safe and healthy work environment.
– Further oneself through an on-going education and certifications including but not limited to corporate or specialty courses.

Cabling Support Manager Qualifications:

– Must have an active TS/SCI Full Scope Polygraph security clearance.
– Need 14 years of experience that can be a combination of work history and education. A master’s degree is equivalent to 6 years of experience; a bachelor’s degree is equivalent to 4 years of experience; and an associate’s degree is equivalent to 2 years of experience. The degree must be in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security System Engineering, or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
– Need a minimum of 5 years of experience in Project Management.
– Need a thorough working knowledge of reading Request for Proposals (RFPs), blueprints, specifications, contractual language and project scheduling (Microsoft Project) and system documentation.
– Familiar with Microsoft applications, Internet, P&L tracking reports, ability to estimate scheduling of material and man hours.
– Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and have the ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
– Must be able to effectively develop a detailed Statement of Work (SoW) and estimates.
