Technical Specialist I Back>>



Responsibilities : SHIFT: (MON-FRI: 8-5)


• Provide first level technical support during problem determination and resolution.
• Moderate travel required.


Qualifications :

• BS degree or equivalent work experience required.
• Min 2-year operational experience in a computing environment using Microsoft operating systems (2000, 2003, XP, etc.), Intel based servers, PC LAN technologies, and Networking is a MUST. Active Directory experience is a PLUS.
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP.
• Experience in at least one of the following platforms in addition to the requirement above is preferred: SUN, HP, RS/6000, AS400, and Mainframe.
• Min 2-year experience in a role involving direct customer contact (internal and external customers).
• Experience working in a Managed Services and Hosting environment a PLUS
• Telecom and PBX skills preferred.
• Knowledge of backup-restore methodologies, large scale hardware configurations, or experience working with multiple midrange platforms is a PLUS.
• Previous experience in Disaster Recovery experience a PLUS.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Must be able to work shift weekend and/or rotational work as needed.
• Must be self-motivated, team player, and able to immediately contribute to a fast paced, deadline intensive environment.
• Must be able to learn quickly in a highly technical fast paced environment. Proficiency in Windows based applications, WORD, EXCEL and database experience.
