Use this information to assist in resolving environment issues or trouble shooting impairments.<br> -Provide assistance/training and leadership to other engineers.<br> -Perform weekly and monthly maintenance activity when required<br> -Deliver end of the road support for complex environments. <br> -Provide assistance/training and leadership to other engineers.<br> -Perform weekly and monthly maintenance activity when required<br> -Perform after-hours support as needed.<br> -Learn automated resource functions and terminology.<br> -Learn alert management platforms, functions, and terminology.<br> -Learn related product offerings.<br> -Become proficient with the latest OS technologies. <br> -Provide assistance/training to other engineers.</p> <p>Qualifications:<br> -Three to Five years industry experience in a Microsoft Windows systems operations or engineering role, with substantial end-user or customer support interaction.<br> -Bachelor degree with technical coursework or equivalent experience preferred but will consider applicants with equivalent work-related experience with a minimum educational requirement of a H.S. Diploma or GED equivalent<br> -Strong Windows server support in a large, production server farm environment.<br> -Application troubleshooting, aided by developers and DBAs<br> -Sound understanding of hardware fundamentals. Able to make specific hardware recommendations based on I/O bound, memory bound, or processor bound applications.<br> -Enterprise level storage (Array/DAS) and tape backup platforms.<br> -Able to troubleshoot and provide resolution for servers with performance issues. <br> -Able to create end to end system monitoring and reporting solutions using performance monitor, SNMP and or by integrating third party products.<br> -Scripting skills. <br> -Knowledge of data communication concepts and technologies is required.<br> -Strong problem isolation and resolutions skills required.<br> -Must have the ability to lead and direct vendors to assist them in their efforts.<br> -Good interpersonal skills are a requirement.<br> -Adaptable and willing to learn new technologies.<br> -Must have the ability to effectively work in a team environment, as well as independently.</p> <p>Preferred Requirements:<br> -College degree in Computer Science, MIS or equivalent experience. <br> -Certification(s) in one of the major areas: Microsoft, Exchange and/or Blackberry Enterprise Services</p> <p>Working Conditions:<br> Ability to meet the physical demands of this position.
