Responsibilities:
• Ensure that IT requests are appropriately
prioritized and addressed accordingly.
• Manage the installations and configurations
of IT server and PC equipment.
• Provide leadership for the location(s)
in handling all aspects of IT operations.
• Provide Desktop support and LAN IT administration
across the assigned region.
• Administer and oversee server backup
processing. Verify backup processing and insure
the integrity of all associated data.
• Provide IT LAN network administration,
backup rotations, troubleshooting and support/including
server uptime and maintenance with the direction
of the IT Department.
• Assist in server administration including
operating system upgrades, capacity, and performance
analysis as it related to day to day operations.
• Actively troubleshoot networking issues
across the LAN/WAN environments.
• Review all IT PC equipment/software
requests for standards, compliance, and operational
feasibility.
• Assist and develop I.S. standards regarding
equipment configurations, system configurations
and network security.
• Provide and maintain IT hardware inventory,
network diagrams and facility information documentation
for assigned facilities.
• Actively participate and take ownership
of projects within the IT Department.
• Position will occasionally require off-shift
hours.
• Position will require travel to Company
facilities within the assigned region.
• Provide mentoring and input for System
Analyst I staff
Qualifications:
• College Degree preferred but will consider
applicants with equivalent work-related experience
with a minimum educational requirement of a
H.S. Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Excellent oral and written communication
skills.
• BS in Computer Science, Business or
equivalent work experience required.
• Min of 2-3 years progressive experience
configuring and troubleshooting 2000, 2003,
WINS, DNS, and DHCP servers.
• Solid hands on experience working with
TCP/IP networking issues
• Broad level of expertise in PC hardware/software.
Lotus Notes a plus.
• Current Microsoft MCSE certification
a plus.
• Strong Interpersonal skills.
• Experience in maintaining Win2000 and
NAS file servers required.
• Experience with VPN and secure card
technology.
• Experience with Ethernet networks as
it pertains to routers, switches and uplinks.
• Significant experience working with
Windows 9.X, 2000 and XP OS’s.
• Understanding of client/server technology
and deployment schedules.
• Ability to complete assigned activities
as well as meet project milestones.
• Ability to multi-task in a highly technical
fast paced environment.
