Responsibilities :

• Manage and lead a team of Database Administrators and SAP Application Administratorsincluding all aspects of training, mentoring, scheduling, performance reviews and building a team-oriented, world-class customer support organization
• Develop and install cost effective, operationally supportable solutions that meet complex customer requirements and SLAs
• Assist team in supporting all Oracle database managed customers. These tasks would include installations, configurations, performance, backup & recovery, and daily database operational tasks.
• Provide clear technical documentation and written ISO9001 procedures to ensure other members of Central Operations can assist in monitoring, troubleshooting and changing complex customer environments.
• Providing guidance and support to end-customers and SunGard personnel through technical acumen and supporting company infrastructure through company strategic/tactical business initiatives
• Lead and/or assist in the technical evaluation of new database versions and features.
• Maintain a high level of customer service.
• Work closely with all operational groups to insure compliance with all corporate adopted system standards and directions.

Qualifications :

• College Degree preferred but will consider applicants with equivalent work-related experience with a minimum educational requirement of a H.S. Diploma or GED equivalent.
• College Degree required.
• Past technical managerial experience required.
• 5+ years experience with Oracle Database Administration required.
• Experience with Oracle 9i and 10G required.
• Experience with Oracle technologies involving RAC, RMAN and /or Data Guard an extreme plus.
• Experience with Quest’s SharePlex with Oracle an extreme plus.
• Experience or knowledge of SAP and Oracle e-Business Suite highly desired
• Experience with SQL and/or Unix scripting languages highly desired
• Must have strong project management skills.
• Understanding of and an ability to implement, internal system standards, procedures and services.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple workloads and projects with minimal supervision.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Minimal travel required.
