Technical Specialist – Data Replication – Pre-Sales

$100- $130K base + comp plan

Alpharetta, GA - Atlanta area

Up to 70% travel.

Responsibilities:
-Provide presales support involving analysis and interpretation of client’s data protection requirements that can include managed services and professional consulting service engagements based on replication services
-Provide concepts, strategies and “best practices” related to data replication to accommodate our client’s business and technology challenges
-Provide leadership to the Sales force by determining opportunities and building ongoing sales force expertise
-Deliver Technical presentations of Service offerings to new and existing customers prospects
-Gather prospect’s technical information including but not limited to Systems, Network, Database, Applications and business process interdependencies
-Engage customers to extract critical technical and business drivers that may position Managed Services and Hosting Services
-Engineer multi vendor, multi configuration solutions for services that include Data replication, Data mirroring, Vaulting and Managed Hosting
-Maintain familiarity and adherence to all methods and procedures
-Consistently manage all Support Requests to a timely and successful completion
-Participate in special projects both regional and national as needed
-Periodically review and recommend enhancements to the solution engineering process

Qualifications:
-College Degree preferred but will consider applicants with equivalent work-related experience with a minimum educational requirement of a H.S. Diploma or GED equivalent
-Preferred Degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Sciences or work equivalence.
-5 to 7 years of technical services support or pre-sales support experience.
-5 to 7 years of data replication services experience.
-"Creditworthiness" and ability to use a personal credit card for all reimbursable expenses is required
-Familiarity with consulting services practices.
-Excellent PC Skills and common business applications. ( MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
-Detailed knowledge of data replication, data mirroring technologies and concepts.

In addition to the above required skills, all successful candidates must possess extensive knowledge and demonstrated ability in at least two of the areas described below:
-Extensive knowledge and demonstrated ability in the area of Managed Hosting Services, technologies and concepts.
-Extensive knowledge and demonstrated ability in the area of systems, networking, database technologies and concepts.
-Demonstrated knowledge in the area of Consulting and Technical Services.
