The role involves learning business, current
support procedures and architecture of the existing
client tax platform and participating in design
& development of a real time, high-volume
parallel processing system for global tax requirements.
Responsibilities:
-Participate in analyzing business requirements.
-Coding, testing and deployment of various system
components.
-Work with the users to help define priorities,
clarify business requirements and ensure proper
testing.
-Interact with multiple IT groups and business
groups on a daily basis.
-Work closely with the architecture to integrate
core technology components.

Qualifications:
-Experience in object oriented design and analysis
and expert level knowledge of Java. Knowledge
of C#, .NET is an added advantage.
-Strong working knowledge of RDBMS (DB2 is preferred).
-Experience working with messaging and parallel
transaction processing systems.
-Experience with performance tuning, scalability
and optimization strategies.
-Familiarity with testing frameworks (JUnit/TestNG)
and concepts (Test Driven Development, Regression
and Parametric testing).
-Familiarity with rules engine (DROOLS).
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
-The candidate should have 5+ years of technical
experience in financial services, preferably.
-Demonstrated history of successful technical
project lifecycle management, including testing
and deployment.
-Candidate must exhibit the ability to work
well with senior technical leads, business analysts,
peer developers and junior developers.
-Candidate should have excellent written and
verbal communications skills.
-Candidate should be able to work well under
pressure and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
