Responsibilities : Hours: (SUN – THURS:
3:30 PM – 12:30 AM)
· Provide high-level technical support
& problem determination/resolution.
Qualifications :
· BS degree or equivalent work experience
required.
· AIX Certification required.
· Mininum 1+ years operational experience
in an IBM RS6000 environment.
· Strong knowledge RS/6000 server hardware
and peripherals.
· Strong knowledge of AIX administration
and troubleshooting.
· 2 years working in a PC/LAN or UNIX
environment.
· 3-year experience in a role involving
direct customer contact (internal and external
customers).
· Knowledge of backup-restore methodologies,
exposure to large-scale hardware configurations
is a plus.
· Working knowledge of TCP/IP.
· Must be able to lift a minimum of 35
pounds as needed.
· Excellent oral and written communication
skills.
· Must be able to work off shift and
weekends.
· Must be self-motivated, team player,
and able to immediately contribute to a fast
paced, deadline intensive environment.
· Proficient in Windows based applications
(i.e., Excel, Word, Visio, etc).
