Service Release Technical Architect Sr

Responsibilities:
-Ensures that the design for a new product or tool meets the integration, availability, reliability and security standards to run in an operational enterprise environment.
-Ensures that the technical turnover documentation from product development includes the details required in the design document to adequately translate necessary components into a repeatable build process for both shared and dedicated infrastructure components as well as customer solutions.
-Accountable for creation of automation procedures/tools that will assist in ensuring successful and repeatable deployment for a new product or tool.
-Accountable for the successful documentation of standard operation procedures according to the corporate ISO Standards.
-Accountable for building and delivering technical training as it relates to service release product launches and tools launches.
-Technical lead on new infrastructure builds in support of service release product launches and tools launches. Accountable for ensuring that best practices are adhered to for documentation, inventory tracking and tools integration.
-Acts a technical escalation point for operations following a new release
-Successful delivery will be measured by adherence to schedule, quality of launch by monitoring post release issues and feedback from technical stakeholders post launch regarding the quality of training and support.

Must Requirements:
-Bachelors degree in Computer Science / Information Systems desired but will consider applicants with equivalent work-related experience with a minimum educational requirement of a H.S. Diploma or GED equivalent.
-Working knowledge of Server, Database, SAN, Security, Hosted solutions and Telecom Network architecture are highly desired.
-8-10 years of IT operational experience supporting a 24X7 production environment
-7+ years experience with Linux/Unix systems administration
-3+ years of Database administration experience in Oracle or SQL
-Thorough understanding of TCP/IP fundamentals (DNS, FTP, SSH), general networking technologies, network architecture and connectivity troubleshooting
-Experience with server hardware builds, OS install, patching and maintenance
-Strong experience with relevant scripting or programming languages (perl, JavaScript, Python, C, Java, etc.)
-Experience with SAN/NAS technologies
-Knowledge of server systems design, RAID and disk subsystems, cluster management, troubleshooting, and hardware replacement
-Familiarity with multi-tiered, highly available web applications in a hosted datacenter environment -including administration, configuration, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and preventative maintenance
-Familiarity with basic project management methodologies
-Solid understanding of IT Security best practices
-Experience in the operation and maintenance of architectures based upon Service Oriented Architecture technologies and methodologies.
-Experienced in cross functional architecture and delivery development team leadership/mgmt
-Hands on system development and integration design experience/background.
-Effectively manages administration and troubleshooting of group-level system
-Identifies, analyses, and drives problems to resolution, handling complex issues simultaneously while effectively communicating across teams
-Builds team relationships across the organization
-Delivers customer service excellence by knowing customers business needs, identifying appropriate technical solutions, and meeting/exceeding service expectations

Preferred Requirements:
-ITIL Foundations Certification/Exposure
-Experience in an outsourcing, co-location, and/or managed hosting company
-Technical certifications in any of Networking, Security, Systems and Storage technologies.
