Network Engineer Sr – Automation - Opsware NAS / HP NA

Scope of Role:
-Dedication to providing world class customer service.
-Support the automation of Network component builds utilizing HP NAS
-Analyze build plans and develop modules to support the various Network builds
-Develop & Maintain version control and release management.
-Utilize Remedy for Problem Management and Change and Task Management.
-Provide training support and documentation to ensure smooth deployment of automation builds.
-Participate in multiple projects and shifting workloads.
-Participate on projects providing technical expertise for the success of the project.
-Gather and Analyze automation requirements

Basic Function:
-To automate deployment of Managed Network services
-To develop automated validation / verification to ensure consistent delivery of our managed services
-To understand new technologies specifically as they relate to new managed services
-Track the maturity of automation against all managed services

Automation of Network Managed Services implementations /decommissions/audits packages:
-Develop automated build, validation and audit packages for all Network Managed services
-Structure the HP NAS db to support an enterprise environment
-Develop reporting capabilities to support finalize transition documents for internal/external customers.
-Install and configure monitoring and management tools via automation
-Work with project manager and other implementation teams to coordinate and troubleshoot any implementation issues. Determine feasibility of automation to correct issues.
-Ensure complete and accurate documentation.

Pre Production & Quality Support:
-Work with other team members to support customer Pre-Production process in order to understand goals and identify any opportunities for improvements via automation.

Process Development:
-Help develop new processes and procedures related to implementation and decommission tasks, audits, compliance etc.

Qualifications:
-B.S. degree Electrical Engineering, Computer Science preferred but will consider applicants with equivalent work-related experience with a minimum educational requirement of a H.S. Diploma or GED equivalent
-7+ years network experience in an implementation and/or support role in a large enterprise or service provider environment.
-1-3 years Opsware NAS/HP NA, SAS or OOO/HP OO
-Current CCNP or CCSP required (CCIE R&S or CCIE Security desired) .
-Expert-level knowledge of routing protocols including BGP4, OSPF, RIP, EIGRP and knowledge of Internet concepts and routing architecture is required.
-Expert-level knowledge of spanning tree and layer two switching concepts is required.
-Extensive experience with at least one of the following: Checkpoint firewalls, Cisco PIX/ASA firewalls, Netscreen/Juniper firewalls.
-Strong knowledge of load balancing technologies is desired.
-Strong knowledge of Cisco IOS is required.
-Experience with Juniper routers is highly desired.
-Extensive knowledge of data communication concepts and technologies is required.
-Ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities is required.
-Ability to effectively work in a team environment, as well as, independently is required.
-Good organizational, time management, and service delivery skills are required.
-Effective written and oral communication skills are required.
-Experience creating advanced scripts to control, monitor, deploy and configure and report on a vast range of network devices. (Perl , Python, etc).

Other Preferred Skills:
-Experience with any of the following:
*Windows, RedHat Linux, SunOS, AIX, or HP-UX Sitescope
*Remedy
-Experience developing, documenting and automating ITIL V3 Certification.
-Excellent organizational and time management skills.
