Responsibilities:
-Provide world-class customer support and technical expertise
for customers.
-Utilize skills, education and training to solve problems
quickly for customers.
-Technical assistance to all internal/external customers
during system problems and implementation.
-Respond to inbound customer requests.
-Assemble and update documentation in the form of problem
and change management tickets.
-Have a base familiarity with client base and the network
resources being utilized by all internal/external customers.
Use this information to assist in resolving managed services
or trouble shooting system problems, outages.
-Learn automated resource functions and terminology.
-Learn alert management platforms, functions, and terminology.
-Learn the Company’s product offerings.
-Learn the Company’s clients and their services.
-Strong systems and network troubleshooting skills are required.
-Disaster Recovery Planning.
Qualifications:
-Three to five years experience in i5 or AS/400 Systems
Engineering or Administration role.
-LPAR configuration experience.
-Strong CL programming experience.
-BRMS expertise
-Remote and local HMC management experience
-TCP/IP configuration and Management
-SNA configuration and Management
-i5 Hardware Installation experience
-Some database administration experience with DB2
-i5 replication tool experience (MIMIX, VISIONS, DATAMIRROR)
-One to three years experience in Unix or Windows Engineering
or Administration role.
-Strong systems troubleshooting skills are required.
-Strong customer service and communications skills (written
and oral) are required.
-Technical knowledge and experience with various network
protocols are required.
-Must have the ability to lead and direct vendors to assist
them in their efforts.
-Knowledge and experience with PC LAN protocols and connectivity.
-Ability to interact and influence change within the team
that you’re working in.
-Strong interpersonal skills are a requirement.
-Excellent communications skills (written and oral) are
required.
-Strong time management and organizational skill are required.
-Must have the ability to effectively work in a team environment,
as well as independently.
-Ability to manage multiple responsibilities is required.
-College Degree preferred but will consider applicants with
equivalent work-related experience with a minimum educational
requirement of a H.S. Diploma or GED equivalent.
