Senior Data Analyst - New York City area
Responsibilities:
-Provide expertise in one of the following data
domains: Macroeconomic Data, RMBS / CMBS Data,
Fixed Income Data, M&A / Corporate Actions
Data and/or Ownership / Holdings Data.
-Advise the team in their areas of expertise,
partner with our others on team in the design
and implementation of superior data infrastructure,
and lead from the front in terms of development
of data domain knowledge.
-Collaborating with researchers in order to
understand what data is required to drive their
research, and design the data solutions necessary
to solve their problems.
-Advising the Data Management Team, and providing
domain expertise
-Investigating, gathering/creating, and maintaining
financial and economic data related to the markets
we trade
-Developing data quality algorithms and metrics
-Contributing to the improvement and streamlining
of the data collection process
-Custodianship of the content used in research
process: reference data, tools, processes, standards,
and training documentation
Qualifications:
-5+ years of experience working with data
-Specific expertise in one of the following
data domains: Macroeconomic Data, RMBS / CMBS
Data, Fixed Income Data, M&A / Corporate
Actions Data, and/or Ownership / Holdings Data
-Experience in 3 or more of the following areas:
Data warehousing, Data modeling, Metadata management,
Data grading, Data validation/quality, Enterprise
data management, Vendor data management, Data
governance & audit, Data requirements gathering
-Passion for data and the opportunities it affords
Additional preferred qualifications:
-Experience in supporting Investment Research
analysts
-Experience in an entrepreneurial setting
