Location is a short 20 minute train commute
from Penn Station.
Will help with relocation. Will sponsor visa’s.

$90K-$120K
Work with a variety of groups including Development
Managers, Product/Program Managers, Quality
Assurance Engineers, Business stakeholders and
variety of other development engineers. The
development engineer supports design and development
of the software suite and supporting services.
Primary task is to assist and develop during
various stages of the Software Development Lifecycle
(SDLC) including requirements gathering, documentation,
design, testing, deployment and support phases.
Responsibilities:
-Working with business representatives to define
requirements and developing technical specifications
-Mentor other Software Development Engineers
in coding and debugging issues.
-Communicating effectively to ensure that all
business requirements are being assessed and
addressed to ensure development projects meet
or exceed performance targets.
-Support day-to-day functional maintenance of
the web site services.
-Participate in all activities accordingly to
ensure on time deliverables are met including
day-to-day planning and coordination with testers,
developers, project managers and business representatives
-Drive full life cycle product development
-A self-starter and drive tasks to completion
-Strong written and oral presentation skills
-Collaborate with business owners to solidify
requirements and create measurable shopping
experiences
Qualifications:
-5-7+ years of industry experience
-BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent
-Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms,
and designing for performance, scalability,
and availability
-Programming in Java, C, C++, Perl, Python,
and/or Ruby
-Experience building scalable infrastructure
software or distributed systems
-Excellent object oriented analysis and design
skills (OOA/OOD)
-Experience working with relational databases
(Oracle and JDBC/Hibernate a plus)
-Experience writing code in a high volume, Service
Oriented Architectures (SOA)
-Familiarity with frameworks such as Spring,
Hibernate, Ruby on Rails is a plus
-Played a leading role in the design, implementation
and deployment of a successful enterprise-level
system
-Significant leadership experience in the technology
side of a business and/or online community
-Internet and operating system security fundamentals
-Understanding of system and application performance
limits and characteristics
-Sharp analytical abilities and proven design
skills
-Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive
-Demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals
in a highly innovative and fast paced environment
