Software Development Manager - Data Warehouse
$100-$125K plus stock options
Looking for someone experienced leading in
an environment that is large, complex and quickly
evolving. We need someone who can lead a team
to keep pace with demand and build resiliency
in the platform along the way.
Responsibilities:
-In this role, you would lead several developers
that own solution delivery (end-to-end), and
partner with the business, and operation teams,
to make it happen. This includes project management,
development, testing, deployment, etc.
-Responsible for architecting data warehouse
structures and ETL requirements
-Partner with the business to deliver capabilities
that supports analytics and operational integration.
-Innovate on top of the platform to provide
such features as near real-time feeds and active-active
resiliency.
-Implement process and metrics to drive continuous
improvement in delivery and operations.
-Develop and nurture a team’s responsible
for delivery and operations.
-Is able to dive deep and is never out of touch
with the details of the business or the technology
Qualifications:
-BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent
-10+ years of industry experience
-10+ years of overall data warehouse/BI experience
-A minimum of 7 years management experience
in large, complex data warehouse/BI environments.
-Strong at looking at solutions in unconventional
ways. Sees opportunities to innovate and can
lead the way.
-Strong people management skills - proven ability
to successfully manage up, down, and across
the organization.
-Strong working knowledge of data warehousing
and business intelligence tools, techniques
and technology.
-Strong communication, interpersonal skills
and organizational savvy.
-BS degree in Computer Science or related discipline
MS degree preferred
-Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms,
and designing for performance, scalability,
and availability
-Programming in Java, C and Perl
-Experience building scalable infrastructure
software or
-Excellent object oriented analysis and design
skills (OOA/OOD)
-Excellent knowledge with relational databases
(Oracle )
