The Software Development Engineer’s primary
responsibility is to assist and develop during
various stages of a project including requirements
gathering, documentation, design, and testing
phases.
This is an extremely challenging role that
demands strong technical leadership, analytical
and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities:
-Revolutionalize the online customer experience,
focusing on leap-ahead innovations that empower
the discovery of great content.
-Working in a cross functional environment (business
and technology) to define requirements and develop
software solutions in an ecommerce marketplace,
from concept to launch.
-Be a part of the software development community,
and strive constantly to improve and establish
a new level of excellence in software development.
-Supporting day-to-day functional maintenance
of the web site services
Qualifications:
-Bachelors Degree (or higher) in Computer Science
or related field.
-5-7+ years of industry experience with a solid
experience in build scalable infrastructure
software or distributed systems based on SOA,
ideally in an ecommerce environment.
-Excellent object oriented analysis and design
skills (OOA/OOD
-J2EE Tomcat Servlet container model, POJO,
Spring, Hibernate
-Advanced skills in HTML, CSS and JavaScript
-Knowledge of build systems such ANT & Maven
-Expertise with UNIX, JAVA. Be able to thrive
in an ambiguous environment - where change is
the only constant.
-Be a team player with high energy.
-Strong verbal and communication skills.
-Strong analytical skills and an out of the
box thinker.
-Results oriented and with a strong customer
focus.
-Self motivated, accountability and sense of
ownership. Should take pride in what you code.
-Prior experience in building service oriented
(SOA) distributed systems in an ecommerce environment
-Prior experience in building web based systems
using Java/J2EE, Apache Tomcat.
