$100-$120K plus bonus
The successful candidate for this position
will have the ability to provide leadership
in software development projects that will include
all phases of the software development lifecycle.
The project manager will have some specific
budget responsibility for the project, and will
also coordinate tasks and delivery dates, with
the assistance of a technical lead for developers
and analysts, both in-house and consultants.
In addition, the project manager will work with
business partners on solution design, collaborate
with leaders from other areas on cross-department
projects, and work with independent quality
assurance, performance and production support
teams.
Responsibilities:
-Lead technology team on software development
projects
-Interact effectively with business partners
to understand business requirements and be responsible
for creation of technical requirements, including
creating effective technical solutions to business
problems
-Interact effectively with systems partners
to insure that the full technology solution
is seamlessly implemented
-Ensure the successful interaction with 3rd
party vendors
-Ensure business requirements are translated
into functional and technical designs
-Ensure functional and technical designs satisfy
business requirements while adhering to accepted
development guidelines and best practices
-Manage the unit testing and integration testing
phases of your projects
-Work with our systems and business partners
to ensure successful completion of the performance
testing and acceptance testing phases of your
projects
-Manage the project transition into production
-Communicate project status, resource needs
and issues in a timely and concise manner to
senior management
-Provide day-to-day guidance for members of
development team and facilitates issues resolution
to enable resources to meet their goals
-Make project related decisions and communicates
as necessary
-Solve complex issues related to either project
or resource issues
Qualifications
-PMP certification is a plus
-Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related
field
-5 or more years experience of Project Management
experience
-3 or more years of IT project management experience
preferred
-Experience working in a matrixed environment
with project team members in multiple locations,
including offshore, is preferred
-Proven track record of delivering within variable
constraints of time, budget and performance
-Excellent, relevant project management skills
mandatory
-Hands-on experience of Agile/Scrum software
development methodologies
-Experience with and understanding of Web technologies:
C#/ASP.Net, Java, MS IIS/ Win server/ MSSQL
-Project planning tools: Microsoft Project or
equivalent
-Familiarity with automated build, deployment
and testing tools
-Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint 2007
or later
-Strong problem solving skills are essential
