Project Manager – Technology Product Development

As the Project Manager, you have the overall responsibility for the successful planning and execution of all product related projects. Overall responsibilities include: defining project approach and scope, and establishing overall buy-in from cross functional departments; leading and directing one or more product project teams; creating, reviewing, evaluating project plans and objectives; tracking and reporting progress relative to time, budget, and demonstrated results; communicating project status, milestones and issues to the project sponsors; applying effective project management methodologies and control techniques; working independently and with Project Team members to ensure deliverable-level plans are executed and completed on time, on budget, and with quality.

Responsibilities:
-Matrix-manage multiple cross-functional project teams for Product Management and Product Development projects.
-Establish and communicate project scope and requirements to stakeholders.
-Implement change control processes to ensure compliance with documented scope and requirements.
-Negotiate with internal organizations to obtain required resources.
-Facilitate the development and execution of accurate project and sub-project plans with the project team functional owners, and communicate dependencies, risks, and issues to the project team and executive leadership.
-Facilitate and manage project communications with stakeholders, sponsors, and executive leadership to provide timely information on project status, performance, risks, issues, and corrective actions.
-Manage project budgets in compliance with established financial processes. Manage and report project costs.
-Establish, and maintain compliance with, the Product Development Life Cycle Process.
-Establish, manage, and maintain budgets.
-Maintain project management and required industry certifications.
-Maintain technical expertise and stay current with new technologies.
-Fully understand the Company’s products and services and the change management and other processes. Ensure compliance with the established processes during the project life cycle.

Qualifications:
-College degree preferred. A minimum educational requirement of a H.S. Diploma or GED equivalent.
-Minimum five years industry experience in an implementation and support role in a large enterprise or service provider environment.
-Minimum three years industry experience in a project management role.
-Five years combined experience in a leadership or project management role.
-Extensive knowledge of information technology concepts and technologies is required. Backup, replication and recovery technologies knowledge is a desired requirement.
-Strong knowledge of the building blocks (infrastructure components and technologies) that are used in a service provider environment.
-Ability to develop large-scale project plans.
-Ability to manage complex cross-functional projects.
-Strong managerial skills in a matrix managed role.
-Strong negotiation and inter-personal skills.
-Ability to follow project management, change management and other internal processes and escalate issues to management and vendors.
-Ability to learn and respond to demands in a fast-paced, highly technical environment.
-Ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities is required.
-Ability to effectively work in a team environment, as well as, independently is required.
-Good organizational, time management, and project management skills are required.
-Effective written and oral communication skills are required.
-Strong computer skills and proficiency in productivity tools are required.
