$120-$130K base plus bonus potential up to 15%
Ideally, we are looking for someone who is comfortable
working in a dynamic, entrepreneurial and flexible environment.
Individuals who have succeeded working for start-ups and
smaller organizations would most likely do well in this
role.
Responsibilities:
-Act as the lead developer on key projects and assists the
Principal Architect with day to day design and development
decisions.
-Assist in the design and leads in the development of new
and innovative programs.
-Oversee the evolution of new and maintenance of existing
domestic and international websites and online applications.
Implements systems improvements to attract retain and grow
membership. Co-develops overall architecture and executes
specific design tasks as assigned by Principal Architect.
Monitors progress and manages projects within established
deadlines and budget.
-Act as subject matter expert within assigned project domain.
Stays abreast of technology developments in the online space
and recommends upgrades and system improvements in support
of the company mission.
-Attend internal and external planning meetings to assess
technology dimensions of company initiatives and how new
projects may impact existing deliverables.
-Assist the CTO with the general management of the department
and its members. Tasks may include identifying, assessing
and recommending potential new tools/packages, mentoring
junior staff members and attending internal management meetings.
Qualifications:
-Undergraduate degree in a technology/scientific discipline;
Masters strongly preferred.
-3-5 years business experience in technology software design
and development
-Knowledge of and skill in managing “project life
cycles”
-Master level ability coding .Net (C# 2.0, 3.0, 3.5 and
4.0)
-Master level ability coding presentation layers: HTML,
JavaScript, CSS
-Master level ability with database design and T-SQL, including
writing custom views, stored procedures and triggers
-Experience with an ORM: NHibernate, Linq2Sql
-Experience with a messaging service: NServiceBus, MSMQ
-Experience writing jQuery plugins
-Unit testing
-Expert ability to build object-oriented software solutions
using standard design patterns
-Strong understanding of Agile design and implementation
best practices
-Ability to design functional user interfaces that address
end-user usability concerns
-Ability to design appropriate production environments for
all applications, accounting for performance, scalability
and stability
-Must have proven ability to design and implement successful
solutions
-Must have track record of delivering to variable constraints
of time, budget and performance
-Must be enthusiastic about technology solutions and willing
to be the cheerleader for innovation
-Must work as a team player as a member of dynamic &
fast-paced team, and have the ability to handle constant
change
-Must have proven ability to work independently, accomplishing
tasks with little direct supervision; must be a ‘self-starter’,
highly-motivated, efficient and creative
-Resourceful, flexible, able to balance multiple priorities
w/ a willing attitude
