Job Description:

NOC Engineer

Up to $70K + bonus potential

Day and evening shifts available.

Responsibilities:
-As a member of a 24x7 department, the NOC Engineer will provide Level 1 and 2 support to the global network operations.
-Each member is required to be on-call 24 hours.
-Responsible for monitoring the network, troubleshooting network problems, implementing changes, communicating and working closely with vendors, customers, system administrators and end users. -Install various networking equipment such as routers and switches.
-Extend LAN and WAN connections.
-Set up user VPN accounts.
-Support the firm’s internet, firewall and load balancers.
-Troubleshooting and configuration of network protocols (BGP, EIGRP, RIP, OSPF, MPLS, VLAN trunking, Spanning Tree Protocol, HSRP, VRRP, Etherchannel, IPSEC, Multicast routing, NAT and DNS).
Qualifications:
-Understanding of network design and problem solving of various Internet related components (Cisco and Juniper routers, Cisco PIX firewalls, ACE, and Cisco VPN concentrator, F5 and CSS).
-Comprehensive knowledge of network management systems and protocols using fault management system, bandwidth monitors.

Experience with the following:
-Cisco Switches: Catalyst 6500 series, 4000 series, 2900 series,
-Cisco Routers: 7600 series, 7200 series, 2800 series, etc.
-VPN: Cisco 3000 Concentrators
-Load Balancers: Cisco CSS11500, Local Directors. F5
-Firewalls: Cisco PIX, Cisco Firewall Services Module, ACE.
-Juniper Routers: j4350 and M7i etc.
-WAN technologies: Metro Ethernet, DS3, MPLS etc.
-Solarwinds, HP-Open View, network General Sniffer and Wireshark.
