The role involves development of software solutions
encompassing both creation of new software to
meet the needs of the broker community and also
support and maintenance of the existing solutions.
The role involves working with the broker community
to develop/support and maintain their price
dissemination and execution systems. The primary
focus of the role is the development for the
middleware distribution systems and external
exchange connectivity & order processing.
Responsibilities:
-Development of trading and trade support solutions.
- Design and implementation of new infrastructure
components.
-Maintenance and enhancements to current infrastructure
components.
-Work with the Application support teams to
investigate and resolve problems.
-Work in partnership with the business representatives
to identify technical requirements for the new
products.
-Identify and manage any integration and rollout
issues.
-Identify and manage any migration issues.
-Work with end users for training and 3rd line
support when required.
-Out of hours support of legacy and new systems
when required
Qualifications:
-5 or more years experience of UNIX development.
-2 or more years experience with Microsoft Visual
C++.
-Familiarity with UNIX debuggers (dbx, gdb).
-Familiarity with Win32 development and debugging.
-Experience of multi-threaded, highly available
systems.
-Good knowledge of object oriented programming.
-Experience developing TCP client/server and
performance critical applications.
-Experience with an industry standard RDBMS.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
-Experience in Java development.
-Experience of the FIX protocol.
-Experience of C# and ASP.NET.
-Solaris
-Sun Studio tool chain
-Microsoft Windows
-Microsoft Developer Studio
