Provide key leadership and expertise as it relates to the remediation of vulnerabilities and threats.

The position’s responsibilities includes a leadership role in the development and implementation of security programs, procedures and controls. This position also requires expertise in firewalls, IDS, and vulnerability scanning.

Responsibilities:
-Develop and manage a proactive VTM (Vulnerability and Threat Management)program.
-Manage matrix teams as needed to address immediate threats or security incidents.
-Position VTM program to provide effective and efficient support the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Manage Services customers and internal infrastructure.
-Assist in the development and maintenance MS Security Policies and Procedures.
-Ensure that policies and procedures are implemented and enforced, through both manual and automated controls.
-Provide management status reports and escalations on all VTM requests and incidents.
-Participate in the remediation of audit findings as needed.
-Develop and implement procedures and metrics for VTM.
-Develop and implement automated tools for VTM as needed.
-Participate in various Security activities including special projects and documentation.
-Able to be on call for incidents and problems as needed.
-Able to travel as needed.

Qualifications:
-CISSP & minimum of 5 years in a manager role required.
-Minimum of 10 years of Security &/or IT experience required.
-BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering preferred
-Minimum of 5 years in a network security role required.
-Successful completion of GIAC GCIA Certification or have equivalent working knowledge of technical concepts.
-Strong customer service, communication, 7 presentation skills required.
-Strong project management, time management, & organizational skills required.
-Able to identify, monitor, & investigate computer & network intrusions.
-Able to profiling network traffic to detect possible intrusions from inside or outside networks.
-Able to maintain proficiency in tools, techniques, countermeasures in network vulnerabilities.
-Able to conduct vulnerability testing & penetration analyses of computer & networks.
-Able to provide computer forensic support to investigations in the form of evidence seizure, computer forensic analysis, & data recovery.
-Expert knowledge of TCP/IP, networking design, & routing architectures.
-Expert knowledge of network security systems & protocols incl. firewalls, Radius and TACACS+, IPSEC and IKE, SSH, etc.
-Knowledge of security standards such as COBIT, ITIL, BS7799 and ISO1799 preferred.
-Participation in organizations such as CERT, IETF, ISACA, ISSA and SANS preferred.
-Ability to maintain proficiency in Vulnerability and Threat Management best practices.
-Ability to develop and implement security procedures and controls.
