Manages the development and establishment of quality assurance standards and measures for automated and manual testing programs; gathers and analyzes data in support of business cases, proposed projects, and systems requirements; develops test plans and scripts for tracking defects and fixes in software application development and ongoing maintenance of commercial software.

Manages the selection, development and establishment of quality assurance standards, tools and methodologies;

Establishes measures and testing standards for new applications, products, and/or enhancements to existing applications throughout their development/product lifecycles.

Attracts, develops, excites, and retains and outstanding group of individuals that as a team outperform the competition;

Provides technical leadership, advice and assistance to staff, management and other departments.

Manages the development of test plans and scripts to meet optimal application performance and ensure compliance with defined specifications;

Develops testing activities that allow applications to meet business requirements and system goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify existing or potential issues.

Develops internal audits to measure and ensure adherence to established quality assurance standards for software development, application integration, performance, and corresponding documentation; and collaborates with software and systems personnel in application testing, such as system, unit, regression, load and acceptance testing methods.

Reviews reports, recommendations or alternatives that address existing and potential trouble areas in applications and projects; and makes recommendations for improvements of applications.
Qualifications:
-College Degree preferred but will consider applicants with equivalent work-related experience with a minimum educational requirement of a H.S. Diploma or GED equivalent.
-3 to 5 years previous Quality Assurance experience in a senior or lead role.
-Direct experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software quality assurance standards for software testing.
-Strong knowledge of system testing metrics, best practices, and methodologies, and solid knowledge and understanding of automated Quality Assurance systems.
-Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, and establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and departments,
-Strong leadership skills, ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and effectively use time and resources to accomplish goals. -Highly self-motivated, self-directed, and attentive to detail.

Preferred Skills:
-Experience of testing large systems or multi-product, single-code base applications
-Knowledge and experience in ISO 9000 standards and certification
