The Solution Marketing Manager will be part
of the Solutions Marketing team which reports
into the Marketing Strategy group. The Marketing
Strategy group thinks strategically about the
industry and business, to complement and directly
support Product Development and Line of Business
efforts by assessing market dynamics for certain
technologies and services, conduct market segmentation
and pricing studies and recommending product/service
value proposition drivers as well as pricing.
Solutions Marketing Manager is responsible
for developing segmentation, pricing and packaging
strategies to increase market penetration of
Managed Services offerings, understanding and
communicating market dynamics and technology
trends, tracking competitive dynamics, and developing
key messaging and value proposition statements.
Responsibilities:
- Provide pricing and bundling recommendations
to internal organizations to increase top and
bottom line revenue of existing and new Managed
Services offerings.
-Work with counterparts to develop value propositions
and pricing for new services and solutions by
market segment, as well as continuously refine
positioning and pricing for existing services,
as the market and market-segment-needs change.
-Interact with industry analysts (e.g., Gartner,
Forrester) to understand emerging market trends
and assess impact on customer value drivers
and Managed Services solutions. Incorporate
findings to inform value proposition and go-to-market
initiatives. Develop a solid understanding of,
and continuously track existing and new competitors
as well as existing and new substitute offerings
for key Managed Services solutions portfolio.
-Support go-to-market strategy development and
integrated marketing campaign efforts for the
Managed Services line of business. Includes
the identification of services to be promoted,
target market segmentation and determination
of overall project revenue objectives.
-Provide Direct Marketing and Marketing Communication
teams with messaging and positioning for external-facing
marketing materials, media and public relations
initiatives.
Qualifications:
-College Degree in Business, Technology or Economics
preferred but will consider applicants with
equivalent work-related experience with a minimum
educational requirement of a H.S. Diploma or
GED equivalent.
- MBA degree with concentration in Finance or
Marketing from major University preferred.
-At least 5 years of experience in B2B Business
Operations or Management Consulting role with
direct involvement in P&L activities required.
-Demonstrated hands-on experience in developing
cost models, working with metrics such as ROI,
NPV, ROA as well as applied knowledge of key
Marketing concepts such as customer needs, market
segmentation, perceived value, product/service
versioning and differential pricing required.
-Solid written and verbal communication skills,
including PowerPoint and Microsoft Excel. Strong
project management skills. Microsoft Project
experience is a plus.
-Demonstrated strong performance in prior roles.
-Willingness for 25% travel
