Provide expertise in the areas of datasourcing,
contract negotiations, the management of data
risks, and vendor supply chain management. Specifically,
the Own the challenge of strengthening the breadth,
depth, and quality of both Quantitative data
and qualitative information available to Research,
improving
governance and oversight of the supply chain,
reducing the external risks associated with
reliance on external sources of data, and improving
transparency and operational discipline in the
processes surrounding their responsibilities.
Work with the Research Technology group to
design applicable technology solutions required
to effect excellent Vendor management, such
as contract databases, data usage reporting
to comply with 3rd party reporting requirements,
approval systems, and so forth.
Create annual data sourcing budgets, and manage
to those budgets by creating any applicable
reportingnecessary to improve transparency into
budget status.
Responsibilities:
-Subject matter expert with vendors (vendor
networking, trade shows, government, research,
new products)
-Vendor administration (accounts payable, other
finance)
-Vendor relationship management (SLA’s,
partnering skills, monitoring performance)
Qualifications:
-Market data experience in a trading firm
-Experience with contracts
-Experience with third party research
-Proven track record for understand the data
landscape in large financial services organization
-Knowledge of data research related new products
available on the market
