Required Skills:

-Solid understanding of the principals of cryptography, operating systems, software development, and network security technologies;
-Understanding of the fundamental mechanisms of exploitation and corresponding mitigation techniques;
-Awareness of the history and current state of academic research and state-of-the-art commercial products;
-Hands-on experience with penetration testing, and vulnerability scanning using static, dynamic, and hybrid methods;
-Academic and pragmatic understanding of IDS technologies;
-Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical staff;
-Awareness of historic developments in information security and understanding of the mechanisms of past exploits;
-Awareness of the methodologies of threat modeling;
-Awareness of black hat trends and understanding of emerging attack vectors; and software development background and a thorough understanding of OS internals.
