Integration Developer / Programmer - New York City

Up to $90K

The successful candidate will join a team of developers based in New York. This team is responsible for ongoing development of infrastructure components within proprietary application middleware. The team is also responsible for a public API, used directly by developers at customers to connect their systems to Company’s platforms.

Responsibilities:
-Hands-on role developing and maintaining core components for electronic and voice brokerage systems
-Provide support and implement enhancements to internal cross-platform applications and custom middleware.
-Liaise with other development teams globally to understand requirements and issues, trouble-shoot and diagnose issues etc.
-Integrate core systems with other internal and external price distribution and trade notification systems
Mandatory Qualifications:
-2+ years experience with server side Java and C# development.
-3+ years in-depth experience with C++ on Solaris and Windows
-Experience with messaging middleware (IBM MQ preferred).
-Must be a very strong hands-on developer. Must have hands-on working experience with:
--Multi-threaded server development on Solaris and Windows
--Developing and deploying small scale web applications using IIS and ASP with Java Script and/or VBScript (ASP.NET experience is highly desirable)
-Demonstrated experience in learning and improving heritage applications.
-Good communication skills – must be able to discuss technical design, give clear updates on status and escalate issues appropriately

Other Preferred Qualifications:
-1+ years experience with server side C# development is highly desirable.
-Unix and Windows Scripting are helpful
-Experience with RDBMS (Sybase in particular) a plus.
-Prior experience with fixed income or equities front office development a major plus.
-Experience with low latency market data distribution systems a plus.
-Established history of delivering successful technology solutions in complex technical and business environments
