Front Office GUI Team Lead

Up to $200K

Responsibilities:
-Lead a team of seven developers. The team is responsible for ongoing development and maintenance of three key desktop applications used by brokers and external traders.
-Maintaining existing Front end applications and responding to user requests for changes.
-Developing new trading screens and applications fitting into present architecture and framework.
-Continuing to enhance and improve the architecture and implementation of the GUI applications.
-Quickly learning the architecture and being able to contribute to framework enhancements.
-Managing multiple projects with aggressive deadlines.
-Hands-on development contribution wherever possible.
-Day-to-day supervision and mentoring of the team members.

Mandatory Qualifications:
-7+ years in-depth experience with VC++.
-2+ years working with MFC
-3+ years in a team leadership role involving overall responsibility for projects
-Must have hands-on working experience with:
--Multi-threaded development
--Developing with STL
--Object Oriented Programming and Design.
-Must be comfortable in a front office environment, capable of delivering quality solutions in aggressive timelines
-Should always be considering how to improve applications, architecture and environment
-Strong communication skills – must be able to discuss technical design, give clear updates on status and escalate issues appropriately. This applies to in-person communication and presentation as well as to telephone and email communication.

Preferred Qualifications:
-Prior experience with FX Options or Fixed Income.
-Knowledge of trading systems or order management systems.
-Experience using Perforce.
