Job Description:
The Director of Application Services will provide key leadership and expertise as it relates to the SAP, Oracle, and Microsoft ERP managed services.

The scope of the position’s responsibilities includes the management of staff and a leadership role in the development and implementation of Application Services. This position requires expertise in the technology (SAP, Oracle, MS ERP), service development and engineering, and service delivery in a managed service environment.

The Director of Application Services should have the necessary expertise and job experience to provide guidance to management and effectively work with departments to develop and deliver Application Services.

• Manage, lead and coach team of two or more Application Engineers/Architects.
• Perform the same duties as Application Engineers/Architects as needed to meet SLAs.
• Position Application Team to provide effective and efficient services in support of goals and customer SLAs.
• Assist in the development and maintenance Application standards and operational procedures.
• Ensure that standards and procedures are implemented and enforced, through both manual and automated controls. Standards and procedures will encompass hardware, software, management tools and related infrastructure for SAP, Oracle and MS ERP application services.
• Provide management status reports and escalations on all Application Services requests and problems.
• Participate in the remediation of ISO audits as needed.
• Provide leadership in the area of Application Services.
• Develop and implement key performance indicators for Application Services.
• Develop and implement automated tools for Tier1/2 operations where needed.
• Participate in various SAS activities including special projects and documentation.
• Able to travel as needed.

Qualifications :
• College Degree preferred but will consider applicants with equivalent work-related experience with a minimum educational requirement of a H.S. Diploma or GED equivalent.
• BS/BA degree in Business or Computer Science required. MS/MBA preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years in a manager role required.
• Minimum of 10 years of SAP, Oracle and/or Microsoft ERP systems required.
• Strong customer service, communication, and presentation skills required.
• Strong project management, time management, and organizational skills required.
• Experience working in a Managed Service Provider environment preferred.
• Knowledge of standards and methodologies such as ITIL and ISO9000 preferred.
• Ability to maintain proficiency in SAP, Oracle and or MS ERP best practices.
• Ability to maintain proficiency on midrange (Microsoft and UNIX) systems.
• HP-UX and Sun Solaris preferred.
• Ability to develop and implement operational procedures and controls.
• Ability to communicate to all levels of business and management.
