Job Description:
Responsibilities : The Application Architect is responsible for providing the highest level of technical expertise in area of Application Services including SAP, Oracle and Microsoft’s ERP systems. This position reports to the Director of Application Engineering. The level of this position may vary with experience (ie, Application Architect or Sr. Application Architect).

• Application Architecture and Implementation. Implement new products that will provide ERP functionality including SAP, Oracle and Microsoft.
• Documentation Responsibilities. Document all operations procedures and conduct formal training associated with application procedures and services.
• Troubleshooting. Responsible for third tier support of application services and infrastructure.
• Lab Design & Upkeep. Responsible for creating and maintaining a lab environment for all products currently deployed in the field in a working mock up of a Maintenance Operations Center.
• Provide World-Class Support to Customers: Maintain a high-level support relationship with customers, focusing on installation consultation, solution design and Tier 3 support for a SAP, Oracle and Microsoft ERP solutions. Work directly with Customers, internal engineers and operations technicians to define customer solutions that are effective and efficient.
• Provide World-Class Support to Operations Team: Assist operations team with day-to-day workflow when necessary. Remain accessible to team for technical support and guidance concerning all aspects of Application Services. Provide the highest levels of customer service to all Data Center locations throughout the US.
• Participate in the Product Development Process: Participate in all new product development with engineering team members concerning SAP, Oracle, and Microsoft ERP solutions. Review designs and provide constructive feedback to ensure these designs will be easy to support in the field. Review operations procedures to ensure they are accurate and provide excellent service delivery to our Customers.

Qualifications :
• College Degree preferred but will consider applicants with equivalent work-related experience with a minimum educational requirement of a H.S. Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 5 years experience in SAP, Oracle, and/or Microsoft ERP systems required.
• User Level Unix, Linux, Solaris and/or Microsoft OS experience required.
• Expertise with at least one of the following databases: Informix, Oracle, MS, or My SQL
• Unix scripting and programming in Perl or C++ preferred.
• Basis or equivalent experience preferred.
• Some network experience with Routing and Switching is desirable.
• Must understand TCP/IP and sub-netting of WAN/LAN networks.
• An innate ability to learn and communicate with others.
• Ability to excel within a team environment and as an individual.
• Application Architects can be expected to have a majority of these skills and are expected to have managed servers and/or databases in some capacity for a minimum of 3 years.
