The Agile Process Facilitator works as a coach with multiple software development module teams to monitor process, foster understanding of Agile development, and adherence to the Agile work practices.

The goal of the Agile Process Facilitator is to assist development teams in maximizing work efficiency so that they are able to actively and independently drive continued value to the business through iterative development.

The Process Facilitator is expected to have strong team leadership and group process skills. These include: soliciting participation from all team members; keeping the team on task; helping the team to synthesize individual responses into a collective response; shifting conversations away from unproductive tangents back onto main topics; and, keeping the team focused on the creation of the final product.

Responsibilities:
-Ensuring the highest degree of communication and collaboration between Analysts, Developers, and Testers throughout rapid development iterations
-Collaborating directly with geographically diverse development teams to coach and guide them on the mechanics of Lean and Agile methods to achieve optimal team effectiveness
-Delivering hands-on coaching of individual development teams – daily meetings, planning, self-organization, collaboration, iterative development, etc.
-Facilitating frequent status meetings where the team members report to each other, commit to work and identify barriers
-Working directly with managers and agile development teams to remove systemic obstacles that block our ability to achieve sustainable rapid success
-Advise and influence the development and/or adoption of internal tools to enhance team collaboration and output
-Expanding the understanding and practice of agile process and principles throughout the organization.

Requirements:
-College Degree preferred
-5+ years experience working within software organizations with 3+ years experience in Agile coaching with methods such as XP, Scrum, Lean, or Crystal
-Experience being an Agile team lead or project manager, running daily stand-ups and weekly iteration reviews
-Deep knowledge of Agile principles and practices and the ability to transfer that understanding at all levels of the organization
-Experience helping others adopt and adapt to Agile practices, especially non-software development teams
-Deep understanding of XP practices such as Test Driven Development, paired programming, user story development and release planning
-Experience fashioning appropriate tracking and performance metrics that encourage teamwork rather than individual competition
-Experience working in strictly timeboxed iterations with adaptive planning using some sort of prioritized work list
-Experience in managing multiple projects in parallel
-Flexibility in working with geographically dispersed teams spanning the globe
-A high level of self motivation, with the ability to work in team environment
-Strong commitment to using the software development process as a tool to rapidly deliver value to the business
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-Excellent presentation and training skills
-Ability to influence without direct accountability
-Ability to multi-task in a highly technical, fast paced environment.

Preferred:
-Certified ScrumMaster and Product Owner or equivalent
-Experience coordinating with development teams outside the US
-Experience working in an IT Service Provider environment
-Experience in product development
-Understanding of ITIL v3.
-Experience supporting mission critical systems
