Account Executive I – Inside Sales
King Of Prussia, PA
Up to $45K base plus commission
The Account Executive I is responsible for
phone-based software sales into new and existing
accounts across a designated vertical and/or
geographic territory. This position requires
heavy outbound phone calls, qualification/consultative
selling skills to generate new clients and maintain
the existing customer base. The Account Executive
I is responsible for managing a pipeline, reporting
on sales activity, and stay thoroughly informed
on all Company’s products and the customer
contact industry in general.
Responsibilities:
-Identifies new prospects and qualifies account
opportunities through outbound calling;
-Cold calling mid to senior-level healthcare
and financial institutions executives to generate
interest and initiate sales opportunities.
-Management of sales records and updates in
CRM system
-Manage assigned portfolio by applying strong
consultative sales skills to prospect, qualify,
quote and close business in both existing and
new accounts.
-Develop strategies and tactics to maximize
revenue within assigned portfolio and meet yearly
sales quotas.
-Act as the subject matter expert responsible
for software sales within the healthcare and
financial services industries.
-Schedule, organize and prioritize work week
to meet customer contact, presentation, proposal,
and sales goals, accurately and efficiently.
-Contact, through use of telephone, live webex
presentations, and e-mail, healthcare and financial
services institutions that may or may not have
expressed interest for the purposes of cultivating
new clients.
-Share product knowledge, problem causes, sales
methods, and resolutions with other team members
-Demonstrable ability utilizing various software
applications to optimize efficiency and performance
-Meet/Exceed all assigned sales goals including:
*Quota performance.
*Generation of new qualified opportunities
*Customer retention
-Work in collaboration with Sales colleagues
(AE’s, Consulting, etc.) to identify shared
opportunities and establish/execute Joint Sales
Plans to achieve cross sales and full account
penetration.
-Manage the internal communication and coordination
of Sales Support, Legal, Consulting, etc. in
support of customer/prospect requests.
-Work with Sales Manager to ensure portfolio
is comprised of best available target opportunities.
-Develop and update accurate, account specific
sales forecasting information.
-Conduct weekly reviews with Sales Manager.
-Travel, attend, present, and participate in
Trade Shows and other company-sponsored sales
events.
-Travel to and attend customer/prospect meetings
as necessary.
-Become familiar with proprietary software programs
and Lotus Notes.
-Carry and attain a quota in new software sales
-Continually develop communication skills for
higher level of effectiveness
Qualifications:
-College Degree preferred. Will consider applicants
with equivalent work-related experience. A minimum
educational requirement of a H.S. Diploma or
GED equivalent.
-Minimum 1 year experience in outbound phone
based selling of products and solutions.
-Prefer software sales experience, solution
based sales is a plus.
-Demonstrable phone-based selling skills required.
-Proven experience prospecting techniques.
-Ability to sell and manage a mix of viable
new accounts and the maintenance of, and business
development within, existing accounts as assigned.
-Sales skills personal presentation, prospecting,
qualification, closing and account management
(retention).
-Excellent communication skills (verbal and
written/email).
-Demonstrated history of providing accurate
sales forecasts.
-Proven Time Management Skills: Experience prioritizing
and executing tasks in a high-pressure, complex,
quota-driven sales environment.
-Ability to support company goals at Trade Shows
and other company sponsored events.
-Working knowledge of PC tools and databases
including MS Office, Lotus Notes, etc.
-“Creditworthiness” and ability
to use a personal credit card for all reimbursable
expenses is required.
-Ability to travel to customer/prospect sites
as necessary.
Preferred Qualifications:
-Software sales experience preferred
-Solution based sales experience is a plus.
-Experience selling to financial institutions
a plus, but not required.
-Experience working with a multi-channel-based
sales team a plus.
