Windows Deployment Engineer
Up to $85K
Responsibilities:
The Windows Deployment Engineer is responsible
for ensuring that all Windows based client/server
applications are properly packaged, updated
and deployed in an effective manner. This individual
will assist other engineers and analysts in
implementing innovative and cost effective technology
services encompassing both hardware and software
based systems, to support our objectives for
customer satisfaction, growth and organizational
effectiveness.
Under the direction of the Windows Client/Server
Manager and working in conjunction with our
partnered vendor resources, the Windows Deployment
Engineer will recommend, implement and support
automation applications, scripting, processes
and documentation. This individual will also
assist and train other network team individuals
in these technologies and applications.
-Research network system enhancements and ensure
adherence to enterprise networking standards.
-Research new technologies which further automate
the environment.
-Monitoring and reporting of deployments to
systems
-Assist in the development, implementation and
support initiatives of the Internet (Extranet/Intranet)
-Configuration and installation deployment technologies
-Provide proactive network management with deployment
and use of management tools.
-Maintain up-to-date working knowledge of server
hardware and software.
-Maintain vendor contacts and relationships
to ensure timely and effective resolution of
problems/failures.
-Responsible for creating, maintaining and updating
technical documentation as pertains to the enterprise
network.
-Assist Desktop and Infrastructure group in
troubleshooting various connectivity problems
Qualifications:
-Bachelors degree, College diploma in Computer
Science and/or Related practical business experience
-VBScript & PowerShell scripting a must
-Package Creation
-At least 7 years experience in enterprise-networking
environment.
-At least 4-5 years experience in implementation
and support of client/server technologies
-2+ years experience with application package
creation utilities such as Wise Package Studio,
Windows Installer, AdminStudio and/or Visual
Studio
-Windows 2003/2008 Server & Windows XP/7

-Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager
(SCCM) 2007
-HTML, IIS and ASP
-Desktop & application virtualization
-Experience with Virtual Desktop Infrastructure
(VDI) – Citrix XenDesktop preferred
-VMware ESX Server
-Excellent oral and written communications skills.
-Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP)
-HP/Compaq Accredited Software Engineer (ASE)
-VMware Certified Profession (VCP)
-Citrix Server certification
-Information Technology Information Library
(ITIL) Foundations Certification
-Project Management experience
-Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
-Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability
to work with all levels of employees
-Team player with customer oriented focus.
