Position is located in Elk Grove Village, IL.
$55-$60K
Apply existing skills and experience to manage,
support and improve performance of existing
Data Center infrastructure. Have a solid base
and familiarity of general system administration
of standard Data Center technologies and systems.
Possess and apply knowledge of Systems Administration
in 3 core areas (Linux, Windows and Networking),
have a working knowledge of storage, security
and IP telephony. Improve processes within areas
of direct responsibility and recommend improvements
in other areas.
Responsibilities:
-Provide 2nd-tier help desk support including
desktop and enterprise applications (i.e. GT,
MyFDC, Email).
-Administer Data Center Servers.
-Manage enterprise storage and Data Center System
Backups.
-Administer and manage Email system & Citrix
Farm.
-Perform system and application upgrades.
-Installation of network routers and switches.
-VPN and Firewall administration.
-Administration of enterprise e-mail infrastructure
(exchange servers, gateways, SPAM/AV control).
-Perform standard and advanced administrative
functions (AD, DNS, DHCP, management).
-Manage and troubleshoot and root cause analysis
of server and network problems.
-Provide support for enterprise telecommunication
solutions (PBX, VM).
-Setup and configure Linux and Windows server
platforms.
Required Skills:
-Bachelor Degree in Computer related filed.
-Proven Track of successfully implementing and
completing critical IT projects.
-Installed and configured Linux and Windows
based servers for a production environment.
-Ability to write system automation Linux shell
and Visual Basic scripts.
-Solid understanding network protocols such
as TCP/IP AppleTalk, RIP, EIGRP.
-One of the following vendor certifications:
MSCA, Network+.
-Proven understanding of Operating Systems including
Windows Server OS, W7, and Linux.
-Fundamentals of Cisco IOS; able to perform
essential configuration task a switch or a router.
-VmWare EXS or EXSi administration.
-Solid understanding of the following network
protocols: ARP, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SMTP, SNMP.
-Microsoft Exchange 2003 or 2010 server administration.
-IIS, Apache Web server administration.
-Administration of Cisco routers, switches.
-Ability to effectively communicate with users
and write system documentation.
Desirable Skills:
-Network experience Cisco IOS, QoS, OSPF, and
EIGRP.
-Cisco PIX, Palo Alto firewall, Cisco VPN.
-Basic SQL.
-Cisco IP Telephony (Call Manager, Unity).
-MySQL database administration.
-CommVault Enterprise backup administration.
-Cisco WIFI Concentrator administration.
-LAN & WAN switching and routing.
-Experience with Blade Server technology.
-Experience with Citrix XenApp environment.
-Ability to write semi-advanced scripts in one
of the following (PowerShell, Perl, awk, sed,
VB).
-One of the following vendor certifications
(CCNA, RHCSA, MCTS).
