Systems Administrator

Responsibilities:
-Install and configure server operating systems (Linux and Windows).
-Participate in project planning sessions, execute project tasks, troubleshoot and resolve problems.
-Track issues in a request/ticketing system.
-Maintain and create documentation related to servers, storage, and other datacenter systems.
-Manage tapes for backup systems.
-Coordinate delivery schedule for off-site storage of backup tapes.
-Monitor production server environment using established tools.
-Adhere to established guidelines and procedures.

Qualifications:
-Ability to communicate effectively with people of varying technical abilities.
-Familiarity with Dell, HP/Compaq, Sun or IBM x86 computer hardware.
-At least 3 years of experience administering Linux operating systems.
-Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
