This individual will be part of a core development
group with primary responsibilities of supporting
the compliance function. This hands-on role
will work with compliance and risk on a daily
basis to identify opportunities to efficiently
maintain and query data. Duties and responsibilities
include, but are not limited to:
-Gather business reporting requirements for
various business departments.
-Write and tune IQ queries and stored procedures
for complex business reporting.
-Gather business requirements and apply them
into logical and physical database models.
-Create report design specifications.
-Install and configure Microstrategy Reporting
Suite.
-Effectively interact with various teams within
the firm.
-Weekend and off hours on call schedule.
Qualifications:
-Knowledge of a BI reporting tool, preferably
Microstrategy - installation, setup and configuration.
-Sybase ASE, IQ and/or Replication system administration
experience
-Strong front end and back end experience with
Microstrategy software
-5+ years of Microstrategy development experience
-Strong analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting
skills.
-5+ years of query/stored procedure writing
skills in Sybase IQ and ASE environments (preferably
15.x version).
-Data warehousing experience - VLDB report/query
writing, tuning and optimization skills (Sybase
IQ).
-Scripting experience.
-Financial experience a plus.
-Knowledge of technical and data architecture
concepts and their implementation.
-Strong interpersonal and communication skills,
positive personality to effectively conduct
team work.
-Ability to communicate effectively to all levels
of management and project teams (verbally and
in writing).
-Manage multiple deliverables in a fast paced
environment.
-Sybase Replication and Sybase IQ and ASE system
administration
-BS/MS in Computer Science or related field.
