Job Description:

Responsibilities :

Basic Function: The Sr. Software Developer will perform requirements analysis, design and develop software to automate operational activities within managed services product portfolio. The candidate is expected to be well versed in Enterprise Integration Patterns, Pattern-oriented software development, Object-Oriented systems design, analysis, and development.

Responsibilities include:
• Own the implementation of individual software modules within the EM Engineering toolkit.
• Maintain existing code base, applying bug fixes and adding new features.
• Document functional specifications, system designs, and test plans.
• Perform detailed design using object design and modeling techniques

Position Responsibilities
60% Software Development using Java, Perl and/or Python
30% Integration, Testing, Documentation, Analysis and Design
10% Operational On-call support

Qualifications : Must Requirements (including any physical requirements):

• College Degree preferred but will consider applicants with equivalent work-related experience with a minimum educational requirement of a H.S. Diploma or GED equivalent.

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience required.
• 5 yrs experience in Software Development utilizing Java, Perl, and/or Python
• Knowledge of Object-Oriented design and analysis and the application of design patterns
• Strong knowledge of relation database technologies and data modeling.
• String knowledge of Enterprise Integration Patterns
• Knowledge of proper programming practice including revision control, application of secure coding principles, unit testing, test first development methodology, documentation.
• Knowledge of web-services utilizing Apache Tomcat CFX.
• Knowledge of messaging and/or ESB systems such as Mule, ServiceMix, Tibco etc…
• Working knowledge of XML and schema design.
• Proficiency with Unix, Linux and Windows environments.
• Ability to multi-task in a highly technical fast paced environment.
• Must be a self-starter
• Strong verbal and written communications skills.

Preferred Requirements:
• Knowledge of network and system performance analysis
• Knowledge of ORM tools, such as Hibernate
• Knowledge of IOC frameworks such as Spring
• Experience with Eclipse IDE
