a CCNA with multicast routing and switching expertise. Candidates
must be willing to work on-call. Financial industry experience
is preferred.
Leading financial firm is looking for a Senior Network
Engineer.
Skills:
Arista/Cisco, Routing/Switching, OSPF/BGP, PIM, in depth
knowledge of Multicast routing process and troubleshooting
in PIM-SM & BiDir environment, Low latency network design,
optimizations and recommendations a must. Candidate must
have extensive background in working with low latency network
designs in a financial environment. WAN/Carrier technologies
including background in optical/DWDM, Dark Fiber solutions,
10Gb Ethernet, Firewall security VPN, and Linux experience.
Responsibilities:
-Be responsible for working with and collaborating with
network engineering team on new and existing networking
projects and reporting to Director of Network Operations.
-Be responsible for maintaining, configuration and troubleshooting
routers, switches, firewalls, WAN circuits in and between
financial collocations of existing and new locations.
-Work with Trade Support team on various connectivity projects
and troubleshooting.
-Network Performance and scalability testing.
-Create support documentation and reports.
-Maintain and Develop SNMP/Network monitoring tools.
-Improve performance, stability and redundancy of existing
networks.
-Work with carrier on circuit outages and new installs.
-Work with data center remote hands at various co-locations.
-On-call and weekend work. Must be willing to work 1, 2
and occasional 3rd shifts.
Qualifications:
-4-7 years experience of design, implementation, maintenance,
and troubleshooting.
- Low-latency trading networks is a +.
-Strong route/switch level and extensive experience on platforms
such as Arista 7124/48, Cisco Catalyst 6500, VSS, 4900M,
3845, 7200, ASA, EOS and IOS.
-Strong background in IP multicast routing including IGMP,
PIM-SM, PIM-Bidir, Mrouting, VRF.
-Strong background in TCP/IP & routing protocols including
static routing, OSPF, BGP including prefix-lists, route-maps,
route attributes, redistribution, summarization.
-Experience with low-latency monitoring tools, SNMP, SolarWinds,
Nagios, Call Manager 7.0, Unity 7.0, TACACs 4.2/Radius,
Packet Capture and decode using wireshark./tcpdump/open
source tools.
-WAN experience with OCx, SONET, DWDM, GigE, 10Gb &
MPLS.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
-Work experience in low-latency financial environment.
-Bachelors degree in computer engineering or related field.
-Good attitude, can work well with others & independently
as well.
