Looking for a Senior C++ Developer to assist with the design,
development and support of Company’s server technology.
As a Senior C++ Developer you will work with our server
team located in Chicago and offshore to enhance and optimize
our existing platform as well as design the next generation
of server technology. The successful candidate should possess
superior design skills, ability to express functional and
technical opinions and a strong work ethic. Experience within
the market data industry and the ability to work independently
are required.
Responsibilities:
-Utilize C++ experience to optimize and enhance existing
server code base.
-Work in collaboration with product management to translate
business and technical requirements into extensible, scalable,
and maintainable applications and services.
-Work in collaboration with data services to accommodate
a vast number of unique data sets and structures.
-Maintain current technical knowledge to support rapidly
changing technology and always be on the lookout for new
technologies that can help improve products and services.
Qualifications:
-5+ years of C, C++ and C# development experience in a Windows
environment.
-Strong knowledge of Object Oriented Programming Concepts.
-Strong knowledge of TCP/IP and socket programming.
-Strong debugging and optimization skills in a multi-threaded,
networked environment.
-Passion for creating high performance market data platforms.
-Experience working with teams in disparate geographic locations.
-Demonstrated self-starter with the ability to set the direction
when there is little or none.
-Deep understanding of design patterns and architectural
patterns.
-Experience in the real time data and/or financial markets
required.
-Experience with Mercurial Source Control desired.
-Experience with SQL Server a plus but not required.
