Responsibilities:
· Develop, manage and successfully execute
professional business and technical relationships
with large complicated clients & prospects;
able to develop and maintain C-level and senior
technical management relationships; active on
customer and industry boards
· Solicit and dissect client requirements
and craft an information availability solution
that utilizes consulting services, managed services,
advanced and traditional recovery services as
dictated by the client need.
· Provide oversight management across
all vertical parts of the organization to ensure
prompt customer satisfaction.
· Develop and maintain a positive working
relationship with the sales teams.
· Facilitate and lead the development
of complex technical recovery solutions.
· Develop a positive working dialog
with the Managed Services and Recovery Services
lines-of-business at an Executive level.
· Provide comprehensive recovery hardware
platform and network and proposals.
· Provide professional presentations
at technical & management levels.
· Provide pre & post test customer
support when required.
· Provide information and education
on emerging networking, communications and system
hardware technologies as potential solutions,
product offerings and general reference items.
· Manage, develop and provide senior
level contributions in special engineering and
technology projects as needed.
Responsible for providing positive mentoring
leadership attitude and work ethic with the
solutions engineering team.
· Manage general individual and team
reporting functions as required.
· Must be able to travel up to 75% travel
as business needs dictate.
Qualifications:
· Degree in Computer Science, Engineering
preferred but will consider applicants with
equivalent work-related experience in a technical
service or product support role with a minimum
educational requirement of a H.S. Diploma or
GED equivalent.
· An MBA is a plus.
· Min of 10 years supporting complex
client requirements assessment and solutions
development required.
· Ability to develop, write and defend
complex business case analysis for solutions
not part of current product required
· Ability to identify a business or
technical customer issue, craft and implement
a solution to drive additional revenue.
· Exceptional listening and verbal and
written communication skills required
· Excellent presentation skills at all
levels – ideally proven C level presentation
expertise required
· Exceptional Project Management skills
with the ability to prioritize multiple complex
projects required.
· Knowledge of Operating Systems hardware
and protocols highly preferred.
· Knowledge of inter-exchange and local
carrier offerings highly preferred.
· Proficient in various communication
environments and of emerging technologies highly
preferred.
· Working knowledge of EIA, CCITT &
associated electronic interface standards Knowledge
of transmission media including: Frame Relay,
ATM, Sonet, Inverse Multiplexing and Satellite
highly preferred.
· Must be technically able to work with
vendors.
· Proficient in the use of PC platforms
and Software.
· Advanced planning & engineering
skills in either Network or Operating Systems
hardware. Emphasis on traffic characteristics,
connectivity, availability, reliability, maintainability,
expandability would be a plus.
