Responsibilities:
-Specify, design, develop, and implement leading
edge solutions and applications across all segments
of the capital markets industry.
-Analyze customer and internal project requirements
to implement new and enhance existing solutions.
-Work on dynamic teams in multiple phases of
projects, including requirements gathering,
software design, development, testing, and deployment.
Qualifications:
-Experience with object-oriented design, strong
understanding of design patterns.
-6+ years experience with Core Java; Proficient
with standard Java development tools and libraries
including ant, Maven, JUnit, log4j, etc; Proficient
with version control systems including Subversion;
Swing/SWT GUI development experience a plus.
-Experience developing web applications using
Java servlets and GWT; Experience with HTML,
CSS, JavaScript, XML and XSLT; Google Web Toolkit
(GWT) experience, including use of the gwt-ext
library.
-2+ years experience with financial industry
messaging/protocols (e.g. FIX, FAST, middleware,
etc.).
-Strong understanding of Linux/UNIX environments.
-Relational database experience (Oracle, MS
SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and/or MySQL).
-Experience designing and developing multi-threaded
applications and the performance tuning thereof.
-C/C++ experience on Linux/UNIX.
-Understanding of TCP/IP networking including
packet-level details.
-Excellent organizational and problem-solving
skills.
-Excellent verbal and written communication
skills.
-B.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering,
Computer Engineering, E.E., or equivalent work
experience.
