This person should be capable of designing
and managing automated test scripts for an enterprise-level
hosted web application built on Microsoft technology.
This person will work as part of a large development
team and will be responsible for test planning
and execution, participation in project design
reviews, requirements definition and clarification,
and patch release planning.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Take ownership of automated test design and
development and manage a comprehensive script
library.
Perform and manage all types of tests: smoke,
functional, system, load, integration, and regression.
Work well independently as well as on a team.
Multi-task, prioritize tasks, and manage time
well.
Work with lead developers to test emergency
fixes.
Log, track, and verify defects using our bug
tracking system.
Work closely with Product Development to understand
functional requirements to create comprehensive
test cases.
Write requests for proposals and manage external
quality assurance consultants (as needed).
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
BS or equivalent “hands on “ experience
Min of 2 + years software testing experience.
Understanding of web based software
Experience with one or more automated testing
tools running past/fail
Writing and execution of manual test scripts
Collect and put together support data for test
groups
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Experience in a high-traffic web development
environment.
Demonstrated strong problem solving skills
EXPERIENCE WITH THESE SKILLS A PLUS:
One or more automated testing tools
Test Case management tools
Ability to use.NET (VB or C#)
Management of testing projects with one or more
team members.
Understanding of N-Tier architecture for web
applications.
Microsoft server technologies (IIS, .NET, SQL
Server).
SQL Server and the ability to write and execute
complex queries, read stored procedures, and
use monitoring utilities to assess performance.
