Key background: Experience as project manager
for large scale trading systems. Previous experience
as a developer.
Looking for a talented and motivated individual
with a unique combination of derivatives, software
development and project management experience
to join the team. As a project manager, you
will be asked to participate in a wide range
of activities from new product development to
operational improvements. You will be responsible
for creating project proposals for funding,
and then have the opportunity to plan, manage,
and execute projects through to successful completion.
Responsibilities:
-Interface directly with Trading and business
sponsors to research, evaluate, and document
business opportunities.
-Partner with Development and Tech Services
to propose solutions.
-Provide background and analysis for the funding
and prioritization of proposed initiatives (including
project scope, time and cost estimation, ROI
etc).
-Compile detailed scope documents and requirements
specifications for strategic as well as tactical
software development projects.
-Collaborate with Development, QA, Tech Services,
and Support in the planning and management of
projects including tracking all issues, risks,
and dependencies.
-Facilitate the coordination of activities between
cross functional departments and teams.
-Proactively communicate project status to project
team and management on a consistent basis.
-Make recommendations for efficiency improvements
to existing firm processes and methods.
Qualifications:
-Minimum of 5-10 years of direct derivatives
industry experience, with a trading or technology
firm, stock exchange, or trading industry vendor.
-Software Development and/or Product Development
background required.
-Project Management and/or Business Analysis
experience required. Industry certifications
such as PMP desirable but not necessary.
-Familiarity with multiple Project Management
disciplines including traditional and agile/iterative
approaches preferred.
-Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability
to motivate and lead teams a must.
-Understanding of Electronic Trading Systems
desired.
-Demonstrated track record for solving complex
problems, managing mission critical projects,
and delivering successful results.
-Excellent communication and written skills
a must.
-Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Suite including PowerPoint and Visio, and Project
Management tools.
-Experience managing vendors and vendor relationships
a plus.
-Bachelor's degree with strong academic record.
