Perl Developer / Programmer - Trading applications - Chicago, IL

Up to $200K

Develop mission critical trading systems and trading system management applications. Develop Perl-based frameworks to support back office and front office trade flows. Support proprietary trading application servers with automated testing, configuration management, automation and trader support. Interact with business managers and traders day in and day out.

Qualifications:
-3+ years experience in core Perl (DBI, Socket, XML, TIE, CGI, Template Toolkit etc.) in Linux (or UNIX platforms).
-Experience with Real-Time Trading Applications
-Extensive experience with compiling and installing CPAN modules.
-Familiarity with OO-Perl.
-SED, AWK, SH Scripting.
-Extensive experience with HTML, DHTML, XML coding.
-Strong database skills (SQL stored procedures, ETL optimization).
-Extensive experience with Open Source.

Additional preferred qualifications:
-DHTML, AJAX, CSS, JavaScript, Perl-TK
-Clearcase or CVS expertise
-Linux Sysadmin experience
-MYSQL or Postgres
-Exposing C++ methods via Perl
-FIX Protocol
-Python or PHP
