Network Engineer

Trading firm is looking for a Network Engineer to be responsible for designing, supporting and troubleshooting a global low latency network in a high frequency trading environment.

Responsibilities:
-Building the network infrastructure for emerging markets, optimizing existing connectivity environments, and continually driving improvements in network performance and latency statistics.
-Collaborate with network engineering team on new and existing networking projects.
-Identify and evaluate new technology for optimized performance.
-Provide architecture for high performance, low latency WAN and LAN infrastructure.
-Provide network support and troubleshooting of any performance issues.

Qualifications:
-Expertise with high -performance LAN (10 G Ethernet) and WAN (Optical-DWDM) technologies.
-Data Center design and planning experience, including deployment 5+ years experience of design, implementation, maintenance and troubleshooting of low-latency trading networks.
-Deep understanding of multicast, routing, switching and IP networking (CCIE, CCNA skill sets are a plus).
-Previous experience in a proprietary trading or electronic trading environment is necessary.
-Bachelor of Science, with a concentration in Math, Computer Science, Engineering, Physics or related fields.
