Responsibilities:
-Support, configure and troubleshoot multiple proprietary,
Linux based trading applications.
-Handle daily administration of applications including,
system monitoring, administration and upgrades.
-Configure, install and maintain Linux software on the front
and back end.
-Improve the performance and efficiency of our trading systems.
-Communicate daily with traders and development teams in
order to drive innovation.
-Perform application analysis, testing, log parsing to diagnose
possible issues with systems.
-Conduct performance tuning and measuring on operating system,
hardware, networking, and applications.
-Design and manage implementation.
-Work to solve and track issues that arise in a fast-paced,
hands-on trading environment.
Qualifications:
-Scripting language knowledge with Shell, Python, Perl or
PowerShell.
-Knowledge in C++, C# or Java is preferred.
-Coding isn’t a core capability but analysis of certain
code will be.
-Strong understanding of machine and operating system architecture.
-Extensive experience with Linux systems; Red Hat preferred.
-Knowledge of trading exchanges and understanding of financial
instruments is a plus.
-Bachelor’s degree in technical field or pertinent
industry experience.
