Lead Windows Server Analyst
$75-$90K
This position is responsible for the effective
analysis, design, planning, and execution of
tasks and projects related to enterprise wide
server and Active Directory services in the
IT infrastructure. The successful efforts of
the Windows Server Analyst will result in standardized
defect free infrastructure level production
operational systems with maximum availability.
Responsibilities:
-Proactively plan, design, implement, and operate
network based services and systems that meet
or exceed customer expectations and service
levels.
-Support all divisions and departments in meeting
their business objectives through the creative
use of network based services.
-Analyze and recommendation for selection and
use cost effective technology assets which best
meet corporate needs.
-Implement tools and processes to monitor the
capacity, utilization and performance of network
service providing systems to ensure the timely
and reliable delivery of information.
-Provide periodic project and performance management
reports as required.
-Provide technical leadership, guidance, and
mentoring to other members of the team.
-Assist in the recruiting of new associates
consistent with the needs of Company, including
technical screening and participation in the
interview process.
-Serve as the primary system expert to both
internal and external customers in the area
of network based services and related solutions.
-Prime shift and after hours problem troubleshooting
and resolution for both internal and external
systems and customers.
-Provide systems maintenance requirements to
ensure cost effective and reliable operations.
Qualifications:
-Strong background in LAN related hardware and
software. Successful applicant will be responsible
for the analysis, design, and implementation
for network server and network client technology.
-Specific technical understanding of the Intel
architecture and corresponding bus technology.
-Specific technical understanding of TCP/IP.
-Architectural understanding of Microsoft Server
2003, 2008 R2, Active Directory, Windows Terminal
Server, and Citrix.
-Expert knowledge in VMware.
-Architectural understanding of the Windows
7 and network client subsystems.
-Architectural understanding of file server
clustering services.
-Knowledge of Linux.
-Analytical tools expertise, including the use
of IBM Director.
-Project Management experience with Clarity
and Open Workbench.
-Four year degree in Computer Science, MIS,
Engineering or related field. May substitute
significant experience and technical training.
-Minimum of 7 years experience in Windows Server
administration in an enterprise environment.
-Strong planning, organization, analytical and
problem solving and troubleshooting.
-Strong oral and written communication skills.
-Ability to independently manage time.
-Ability to concurrently manage large, complex
projects, utilizing appropriate resources to
meet customer expectations.
