Lead IT Security Analyst
$75-$95K
Responsible for providing direction and technical
expertise needed to design, implement and maintain
the Information Technology security environment.
Includes responsibility for developing and implementing
appropriate IT security policies and procedures,
configuring security software, and implementing
security functions across multiple areas. Ability
to effectively communicate with all levels of
the business on security issues, ensuring that
the companies information assets are properly
protected.
Responsibilities:
-Establish and maintain company wide information
security policies, standards, and procedures.
-Perform periodic risk assessments of operating
systems, networks, database, governance, processes,
procedures, application systems and other information
security areas, identifying security issues
and recommending fixes.
-Provide expertise and guidance to peers and
superiors on overall IT business strategy and
technology directions as related to IT security.
-Serve as technical consultant on security issues
operating systems, networks, database, governance,
processes, procedures, applications, application
systems and other information security projects.
-Coach and mentor Directors, Managers and associates
in the area of security.
-Document the security environment and procedures
to ensure that the security environment is accurate,
efficient, and of high quality.
-Assist with or execute all stages of the problem
determination and resolution process as it pertains
to security problems, including identifying
security breaches.
-Maintain expertise in the area of security,
including trends, strategies, and products to
ensure that information assets continue to be
protected at the levels required by the business.
-Evaluate, recommend and select third-party
security software packages and/or develop in-house
software which assists in attaining the corporate
security goals.
Qualifications:
-A four year degree in Computer Science or related
field, or the equivalent work experience.
-Minimum of 5 - 10 years of experience in an
Information Technology Security role, with emphasis
on the development, implementation and support
in some of the following areas: Security Policies,
Procedures, Security Administration across multiple
operating systems (MVS, Windows Server, UNIX),
Security Best Practices and experiences across
multiple systems (MVS, Windows Server, UNIX),
Active Directory, LDAP, Network and Firewall
Security, IDS, RBAC, Access Control, SSO, Federation,
Governance, Litigation Hold, e-Discovery, Social
Networking Security, Forensic Investigations,
SIRT, Auditing, Application Security, DLP, Security
Products and Information Security Architecture.
-Strong communications skills both oral and
written.
-Ability to work well on a team, including internal
and external departments and organizations.
-Experience managing and leading Security projects,
including defining requirements, developing
project plans, and delivering results.
-Information Security Certification is desired,
i.e CISSP, but not required.
