Must have product development experience / software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies. Must have 3+ years of JAVA and Swing experience. Must have a Bachelors degree+.

? Participates in various aspects of software design. Understands marketing requirements, translate marketing requirements.
? Analyses, estimates, plans, codes, tests, documents, debugs, packages, and ports product source code. Coding may include maintenance and debugging of existing code and/or new development. Testing includes unit testing of one's own work, but may also include other aspects of quality assurance.
? Authorship or contribution to varied software project documentation, including but not limited to: design documents, modeling, release notes, user documentation, developer notes, QA test plans and test cases, software change request documents, etc.
? Installation, configuration, upgrade planning, distribution, assists in product retirement planning.
? Provides support for customers, customer partners, and early release partners including instruction, troubleshooting, bug fixes.
? Installs software at customer sites.
? Serves as backup for product support as needed. Provides 3rd tier support to product support team.
? May assist in on-site client development work in special situations.

Required Skills:
• Knowledge of computer software programming, design, implementation, and software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies
• Skilled in research, project planning, and implementation
o Ability to develop and entertain a multitude of possible technical solutions to complex problems and ultimately decide and implement solutions
• Excellent written and verbal skills including
o Presentation of facts, figures, models, and technical concepts in a way that others can comprehend
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Good working knowledge of Windows operating system and office products
• Hands-on extensive knowledge of
o Java programming, J2EE, Web Services, XML, EJB
o Knowledge of a critical subset of these technologies
?? JSP, Struts, JMS, JDBC, Swing, Webstart, HTML
o Knowledge of one or more these database technologies
?? Oracle, SQL Server, and DB2
?? Hands-on use of SQL
o Knowledge on the use of 3 or more of these computing platforms
?? UNIX, Linux, Windows, AS/400 and MVS
• MVS developers will know some critical subset of the following:
o JCL, COBOL, Assembler, TSO/ISPF, DB2, MQ, and REXX
• Basic level (or better) understanding of other varied computing concepts including
o Networking, Installation Tools, version control and source code repository systems, enhancement request and bug tracking tools, user interface design conventions,
• May also have C/C++ programming skills with knowledge of OS-specific low level programming knowledge
