Information Security Officer
Seeking a creative Information Security Officer
to help improve systems. Design flexible and
realistic security systems that balance business
needs against real security and privacy threats.
Responsibilities:
• Develop the overall corporate technical
security plan, as well as policies and procedures
for global operations.
• Evaluate the intranet infrastructure,
internal LAN, VPN, and Web-based applications
to determine potential short- and long-term
security vulnerabilities.
• Maintain security through regular testing,
evaluations, and hands-on deployment of software
and hardware.
• Lead awareness training within the firm
both at a technical and end-user level.
• Work directly with Network and Programming
teams, as well as end-users, to formulate action
plans.
• Stay informed of new technologies and
any new threats they pose.
Qualifications:
• 10+ years of hands-on systems security
experience is required, including application
development and security evaluation.
• Candidates must also have some experience
with: Microsoft products including SQL Server,
Windows NT/2000/XP, IIS, and Exchange 2000;
Web technologies (Java, XML, ASP); Cisco products
including routers, switches, and PIX firewalls;
and Linux, UNIX, and Solaris platforms.
• A CISA/CISSP designation is preferred.
• Industry certifications from Microsoft,
Cisco, Novell, and Sun are all desirable.
• Balance business objectives and technical
requirements to evaluate problems from different
perspectives and find their potential source.
• Be adept at quantifying risk and proposing
inventive solutions to remedy shortcomings and
improve existing processes.
