Responsibilities :
· Ensure Operations Team has developed accurate procedures and provide engineering support for Managed SAN.
· Utilize knowledge and experience to provide technical recommendations, design and implementation support, to assist customers in understanding and achieving the desired results.
· Participate on cross-functional development teams to produce products that meet or exceed customer expectations. Represent field and corporate operations in these efforts, ensuring that delivered products are fully operational and can be supported at multiple IDC sites around the world.
· Document and review trouble ticket reports for continued improvement in process and training.
· Participate on the Change Control Board (CCB) to ensure product standardization and adherence to company policies and procedures.
· Provide product patches, version control and support for hardware and software. Apply reason and experience to systematically troubleshoot performance problems and develop appropriate solutions.
· Deployment of customer requirements, including implementation of network and monitoring solutions in accordance with Service Level Agreements.
· Evaluate disk, tape, and storage area network products to assure that selected solutions provide maximum value for the company and its customers.
· Oversee the operational readiness of designated servers, routers, switches, disk servers, tape library systems etc., based on the necessary customer solution requirements.
· Continually seek industry and market information to provide the information necessary for successful business development.

• College Degree preferred but will consider applicants with equivalent work-related experience with a minimum educational requirement of a H.S. Diploma or GED equivalent
• Must have a minimum of 5 years of Systems management and administration with an in-depth understanding of operating systems, including Microsoft Windows, Solaris, Unix/Linux – Certification(s) a plus. Scripting/system programming a plus.
• Must have a minimum 3 years TSM server and client engineering-level implementation, configuration and troubleshooting experience.
• Must have a minimum of 5 years of diverse storage environment experience – Experience with EMC Clariion, McData, Netbackup & Brocade a plus.
• Must have detailed knowledge of RAID, SCSI, SAN, and NAS.
• Must know basic IP security structures regarding disk and tape storage.
• Extensive knowledge of data communication concepts and technologies is required.
• Strong customer service and communications skills (written and oral) are required.
• Strong storage problem isolation and resolutions skills required.
• Must have the ability to lead and direct vendors to assist them in their efforts.
• Strong interpersonal skills are a requirement.
• Adaptable and willing to learn new technologies.
• Excellent communications skills (written and oral) are required.
• Strong time management and organizational skill are required.
• Must have the ability to effectively work in a team environment, as well as independently.
